....that is if anyone is up for it or even interested, I do not think the 'Anglo - Left' is, that is those of 'Left Persuation' but also of English by birth background and for most part a recent 'White Settler' in Wales or more than likly a student at a College in Wales. I do not mean those English or otherwise migrants to Wales in the 19th century who came for work rather than to go to college or maybe just drop out in rural Wales to escale 'Metro Madness' for some good life. Of course there is a group of 'Welsh Labour Left' who are of the real right on 'Brit Mentality' as Kinnock & Ko! who are totally 'Anglicised/Acculturalised' politically but of course there has always been a 'Labour Left' that is compfortable enough with concept of Wales as a Nation but might not go all the way down the road towards Welsh Independence, such as Rhodri and Carwyn and these appear to me o.k. guys.

Then there are your bog standard 'Welsh Nationalists' who most certainly believe in Wales the Nation but then could be 'Cultural Nationalists' aka 'Cymraeg Enthusiasts' who at end of the day would as much want to stick with England as the 'Bards of Caerwys' in the 16th century, if it paid to do so. There are plenty of these sort who would say they at a push would want a Wales 'Unfree' but Cymraeg Speaking rather than 'Free' but 'English Speaking'. I have no doubt in my mind most of 'Y Crachach Newydd' and Plant Crachach/CyIG would go along with such a 'Cymraeg Brit Wales' as have the hard core 'ShamlessS4C Supporters' for 28 years, I believe Adfer would have too but, what about Cymuned and Llais Gwynedd?

Then there are the supposedly 'Political Welsh Nationalists', hhhmmm!!! did I say 'Political?', yes I did! however, that 'political' for the most part is not drawn out of any real Welsh Nationalist Ideology or theory, thus in practise Welsh Nationalism is pretty much a pacive/docile affair unless stirred up by something to do with 'Yr Hen Iaith' as example of recent rally to 'Save The Skins' the 'Mediacrachach' of 'ShamelessS4C'. The Selling of Vyrnwy and Tory Cuts have not in same way aroused this sort of Welsh Nationalism within Plaid Cymru. Meanwhile the'Plaid Left' no doubt with out St Athan Military Academy, at a loss about what to do about continuing war in Afghanistan most agonising for 'Feminists' as if the ''Western Crusaders'' depart and the Taliban take over God help Afghan women and that includes young girls too! same too Christian Plaid Pacifists must be really concerned about the slaughter and ethnic cleansing of Christians in the middle and far East. Whatever, uniting the 'Plaid Left' with the 'Left of Left Labour and otherwise Left' is Gaza, never mind about Dafur, Congo or many other places plagued by atrocities 'Cofia Gaza' has become as popular a slogan for some Welsh Pacifist Cultural Nationalists as 'Cofia Dreweryn', I wonder why? I will leave you to think on it! Perhaps work it out maybe?

Then there are what may be called Radical Nationalists, even 'Republican Nationalists', the former if still Plaid Cymru members must be a really 'Politically Confused' bunch! For they would believe in 'Independence' but are as happy as kids with Ice Cream to put up with Mr Smug Dafydd Elis Thomas as one of their Chief Leaders who not only does not believe in Independence but is quite happy to publically proclaim, he's not a Nationalist, Welsh or otherwise! It amazes me that 'Hard Core' Nats as most of that 'Cambrianista Crowd', to name but four Henry Jones Davies, Robert Hinton, Sion Jobbins and David Petersen are bothering to be members of Plaid Cymru? All four are 'Nationalist Ultras' and articulate but remain very muted, if not dead quiet regards any critcism of Plaid Leadership as Mr Smug unless it's over a pint at Tafarn Llywelyn, never out in the open at the 'Cofiwch 1282 Cenotaph'.

As far as I am aware there has never been very much written regards what could be described as Welsh Nationalist Political Thinking, let alone National thinking! Just what has been published in this area? 'Towards Welsh Freedom' by Dr D.J. Davies and much later 'Rise of the Welsh Republic' by Derrick Hearne what else Aros Mae by Gwynfor Evans? No I think not, that may be left aside or put that in the 'Cultural Nationalist' area. I will say this now, if you serioiusly want to D&D Nation and National Identity and Consciousness then 'Yr Hen Iaith' cannot be left out but when it comes to Welsh Nationalist Political Philosophy, Policy and Practise I suggest 'Yr Hen Iaith' is put back in the Cultural Nationalist Box or you will end up going down the road again toward what has 'screwed up' any Welsh National Liberation Struggle and made such impossible to get back on the road since the Adfywiad Gwladgarol Cymru 1962 - 69. Not least later the best possibly 'last chance' of getting some where 'Cymdeithas Cyfamod', though Welsh Socialist Republican Movement comes a close second, if not 'head to head'. Their problem was as again Politcal Confusions and Challenges as to what Welsh Republicanism was or is? that is a problem that not only continiues but has now got totally bizzare as Balchder Cymru now declares itself to be a 'Socialist Republican Movement' or at least untill it's time for Rali Cilmeri and then they will revert back to what? being 'Welsh Royalists?'. Obviously some serious reading is needed on all to do with Wales and the National Question again! again! again! Before we are fit to D&D anything?

Anyway for moment Political Nationalism and Republicanism aside and the two areas seperated, for now lets focus on the 'National Question' and in this respect here 'Yr Iaith' should be central to to all D&D but please also consider that it's not an absolute as if 'Language' was the absolute, that many Independent Nations' would not now exist today would they. However, as far as I am concerned the second area regards 'The Welsh Nationalist Political Question', just leave out 'Yr Hen Iaith' that's been muddying the waters for 50 years and has held back not advanced National Liberation Struggle, fin! if you do not know why then you seriously do need not only a Political Educatucation but an history lesson or two as well!
