I have no problem at all with a 'Black History Month' in Wales, as at long last we have a 'Welsh History Month' but all the same compare the difference in promotion, presentation and scale of support. Further, do consider how it is that 'Black History Month' gets such broad support from the 'Usual Suspects/Useful Idiots' of the Welsh 'Intellectual/Intelligensia' and 'Arts/Cultural Establishment' also a number of Local Authourities.

Perhaps, we should establish a 'Welsh Volutary Sector Network'. Hang on, there already exists a 'Wales Council For Voluntary Action' and there are various funding potentials for voluntary action but nothing as a 'BVSNW' which is a well organised lobby group, promoter and organiser of 'BHM' and Black (and represents Gypsies/Travellers? not sure why when there is a Gypsy Council in existence? See Cydsafiad Cymru blog October posts) Interest events and activities. I guess similar in Wales would be such as the numrous community based 'Menter Iaith but no quite as these 'bodies' are almost exclusivelly concerned with promotion of langauge and culure only occaisionally taking aboard Welsh History. There are a number of Welsh Community Initiatives that focus on various interests as example Antur Waun Fawr, Antur Teifi, Antur Waun Fawr and Antur 'Stiniog, the latter focus on outdoor events and activities, I am not aware of an Antur which focuses on Welsh History however?

Myself do not consider a 'Cofiwn Newydd' such a good idea, as today there are numerous opportunities out there for patriots to get involved in, Initiatives and projects for which grants are available. Not least Cadw's EU-HT Initiastives, patriots now would be most foolish not to get involved and yes! Go Grab Grants! and use to good patriotic purpose asap (see above blogs for further info). Taking place of Cofiwn to continue Cymric Conscious Campaigning as a 'Cofiwn Newydd' maybe? see my blog: 'Ymgyrch Treftadaeth Cenedlathol Cymru'. Perhaps such now at least needs to be reestablished and organised as a 'Cyngor Treftadaeth Cenedlaethol Cymru'. Whatever, such idea aside for now though I will give it further attention, for now consider that possibility, see link below:

I would have thought a number of 'Cymric Cultural Organisations' could have risen to the occaision of 'Mis Medi - Mis Glyndwr - Mis Hanes Cymru' but no! Not even 'Yr Urdd' and one would think they would really be up for 'Welsh History Month, but no so, too busy with getting ready for the 'Cultural Olympaid' I guess? On the whole, from searching the web it does not even appear much was going on re celebrating 'Dydd Glyndwr' this year although at long last a Glyndwr Festival was organised in Corwen centre of the 'Numero Uno' Gwlad Glyndwr. The SGF at Abercraf continued to organise the most major 'Dydd Glyndwr' festival and Machynlleth at long last is moving to mount a major festival next year on and about 21 Mehefin 'Dydd y Senedd' annually there after. Nevertheless searching the web one would be very hard pressed to find Local Councils or various bodies as Welsh Arts Council, Academi and Millenium Centre, Civic Trust or Educational bodies etc supporting Mis Medi - Mis Glyndwr - Mis Hanes Cymru, as they support Black History Month, now why is that? but more importantant what are patriots going to do about it? If you are a reader of this and other of my blogs you will be aware I am not at all happy that this history has been 'hi - jacked' by the likes of Balchder Cymru to further it's infantile and imature dilletante Political Adventurism or worse the 'anonymous' Faceless Facebook Fantasy Fusiliers on the most obscure Patriotic Fringe of the 'Hayes Honchos' via 'Fe Godwn Ni Eto', Eryr Wen and the new 'Cymru 1400' along with numerous 'associates' via more Facebook 'stings' as 'Cofiwch Dreweryn' etc. All these 'stings' are more concerned about 'Click and Collect' names than actual struggle and campaigns. They all function on the most bizzare of beliefs of being ''Welsh Republican'' which needs to be seriouslly challenged. Thus next month in 'The Welsh Patriot', I shall do just that in the main by looking at Welsh Republicanism 'Old and New' and taking a look at any real, if any Republican idea or ideal, philosphy and theory these fakes and frauds may have. In the mean time, take aboard some Welsh Socialist History, not least learn about The Amlwch Revolt - 'Four Weeks of Lawlessness 1817 and The Battle of Cinder Hill 1830 in Rhosllanerchrog.
