A matter of major concern to North East Wales.
.
Below is a map of the plans, looks very much like a map of invasion to me. They only hint at the extent of the plans, if you look at UDP/LDP plans for each county you will see the extent of what they intend to do. From what I understand, the Wales spatial plan and North west spatial plan have been designed based on this. This sub regional plan came about after something called the Mersey Belt Study (2002), its aim was to address land supply issues for the region and made recommendations about forming a subregion between West Cheshire and North East Wales to address some of the problems. As well as more development for Wrecsam and Flintshire, they intend to open up access to the coast road in order to increase development ‘westwards’. These plans have no regard to Welsh identity or language and will see one of the biggest influxes of English into North Wales that we have ever seen. It is a massive threat to welsh identity. The most shocking thing is that from what I can gather, the plans have already been passed. They have been made in conjunction with, and approved by the Welsh Assembly and our local councils.
.
This also goes a long way to explain the attitude of the local press over recent years. There has been constant propaganda about our links with the North West of England and the Wrecsam Chester nonsense that they constantly push at us and city status, also more recently the north Wales South Wales divide. These plans have been in the background since 2004 so that explains a few things. They intend to make Wrecsam a strategic centre for the region and it will be key to the process. This is colonisation at its most obvious.
.
Here are some links for some online info, there is plenty on the web about it. I think it’s very important that we spread the word about this and get people clued up about what is going on. We also need to get some discussion going about how we intend to tackle this.

My Comment: I am sure a Campaign will be organised soon, I dare say Mold's Adam Phillips of Balchder Cymru will be to the fore, so I suggest you contact they for further information as I am afraid this corner of Cymru is a bit off my activity and action Radar Screen. So, check into the following link: Balchder Cymru -The Pride Of Wales! "Fe Godwn Ni Eto -We Shall ... Note ideas as how to deal with this issue are called for, first thing that comes to my mind is organisation of a major Poster Placard campaign with slogans to suit. Monmouthshire is going the same way as North East Wales with Bristol the ''Chester of the South East''. The information supplied above makes a startling visual presentation but the reality is that Powys is becoming a ''Sais Kossovo'', certainly many border areas are lost, as our Welsh Frontier is pushed further west. Soon I dare say the Cambrian Mountains will be the final frontier with only the Tiroedd Cunedda aka in the middle ages Pura Wallia left to Y Cymry, well almost but not completly so, as the South will remain 'Silurian' too many of us to expell, the Romans tried that and failed.

But what do you do? For sure the Welsh need more births, as Sion Jobbins as pointed out, we must also focus not just on inward migration but outward migration. Lets not go down the Mewnlifiad and Meibion Glyndwr ''Arson War'' road again, but be more positive in response as were Bretons regards their campaign to highlight the number of Bretons leaving Brittany. In this respect we need to campaign for jobs to keep the Welsh at home, not least the sort of businesses that will make sure the well educated find work in Wales. Further, focus on the ANTUR GADARN as our own Mondragon Cymru, check out this link: Mondragón Cooperative Corporation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Mondragón Cooperative Corporation (Spanish: Mondragón Corporación Cooperativa - MCC) is a group of manufacturing and retail companies based in the ...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mondragón_Cooperative_Corporation - 26k - Cached - Similar pages.
