RUBBISH! This is a total twist of History and a great untruth, full stop. Tony did not need HJD to so called 'recreate' Baner Glyndwr, it was already in existence in one shape or form. Toni as early as the 'Sixties' in his Patriotic Front Days was making heradic baners and flags but it was during his Cofiwn days Toni went into overdrive on the heraldy to add colour to Cofiwn events. But with regard to Baner Glyndwr being made popular that surely must be respected as an Embassy Glyndwr promotion in fact Cambria did not bring these flags out for the Llanelli Eisteddfod. I was there. The only items on that stall that had anything to do with Owain Glyndwr was the Glyndwr Ribbon which Sian Ifan of Embassy Glyndwr had paid for and the first edition of the Galwad Glyndwr magazine which Sian also had paid for.
Henry Jones Davies had (reluctantly) allowed these to be displayed and distributed off the stall because Toni Lewis who had contributed large sums of money to Cambria on a number of occasions had insisted on it. Sian had bought 10,000 cloth Glyndwr ribbons out and 1000, enamelled ones. Had also bought 1000, Galwad Glyndwr magazine out, all from her own savings without even considering chasing grants.
Further, as for mass popularisation Sian had talked Bob Rice Castle crafts to bring Glyndwr flags out and he bought the first batch out in a variety of sizes. He also sponsored the two very large embroidered ones which Embassy Glyndwr presented to the Welsh Assembly and the National Eisteddfod in 2001. Bob Rice then introduced Sian to Pendragon a Cardiff Wholesalers who, as well as bring out a plentyful supply of reasonably priced flags that everyone in Cymru could afford, agreed to bring out all the other Glyndwr range of souveniers which were designed by Embassy Glyndwr. As well as being sold at commemmorative events and the Eisteddfod by Embassy Glyndwr, all these souveniers - and flags have and are still being sold in Welsh shops and on market stalls throughout Wales.
The popularity of the flag has become reality because of the constant campaigning by Embassy Glyndŵr since 1999. First on their website - which was very successful until it suddenly 'mysteriously' dissapeared an there was nothing they could do about it. But, undeterred, continued to promote Glyndwr and his flag via on a number of E.G. blogs and at events and continued to vigourously campaign for Cadw to fly it on all their castles and other properties on Owain Glyndwr day. Likewise with other Cymric Local Authorities, businesses, towns, schools pubs etc. Its all this campaigning that has popularised the flag and all done with Embassy Glyndwr meagre money - without one penny in grants.
So please lets get the history right not misrepresent to make out HJD is more of a Nationalist than he perhaps is? It's one thing to arrive back in Wales after many years away working in the far East for Petroleum Companies and other ? as 'consultant' or whatever? But it's another to seek to add some undeserved 'Active Nationalist Glory' by standing on the Shoulders of Giants as Cayo, Coslett, Glyn and Toni when one as yet to really make sacrifice as they. Does not wash with me Henry or is it Frances? One thing to be late in the day 'Mates of the Dead' and chum up with the 'Boyo's' and 'Good Ole Boys' at Rali Cilmeri but how about working up a sweat Marching Into a Mountain near you in June to protest against a local Crown Estate Windmill Plantation as at Bryn Llywelyn. Though that would be reckless I guess and possibly not go down well with 'Y Gorseddd' nor be helpful to obtaining grants? not least bit too pleb and not quite in keeping with the English Aristocratic Backgrounds of both Henry and Frances, publishers of Cambria Magazine and founders and motivators of an highly successful Dewi Day Parade in Caerdydd.
I will give you credit for that, even if it is no more the 'Nationalist' event, now that 'Nationalists' are no longer needed to get it off the ground and keep it going. If your so up for Baner Glyndwr, tell us why it is not equal on this parade with that Tudor 'Dragon' Flag and Anglican 'Dewi' Flag? I do mean really equal in numbers well to the fore, not as this year for first time have a child carry one as a kind of after thougt or maybe a rather sub text demeaning slight upon memory of Owain Glyndwr.

When Wind Turbines first became an issue in Wales – CAMBRIA ran a few letters on the issue – then the late Robert Hinton (aka Robat Ap Stefan who worked with CAMBRIA and who loved Wind Turbines as works of art) and Plaid Cymru’s late guru Dr Phil Williams and the rest of Plaid Cymru must have leaned on CAMBRIA and Wind Turbines now seem a total Taboo subject not to be ever mentioned and certainly not to be criticised! Even David Petersen has at one time embraced Wind Turbines!
In June we shall see who is who and what is what on this issue, I said that and unlike Ioan Richards, I say what I got to say on my blogs and that's it. I do not bother then to carry out mass 'muderous' mailings to stick the knife in deeper than needs be, if anyone wants to answer me back they can blog it up somewhere or do a film criticism has done by Balchder Cymru because I was having a go at Russell BC Mk II, that's ok with me, criticism and debate is healthy or otherwise we all get too compfy. Though, I could do with out the threatening letters accusing me of being a Lord Haw Haw working for MI5 or an ''Heretic'' and ''Liar'' has one 'Gog Prick' (careful lad, people gossip about you, you know) called me. Not least, best of the bunch is patriots being told I am 'Not To Be Trusted', know who you are, telling the wrong people mush! I got 'Old Comrades' and Compatriots out there who are my freinds and have grassed you up and others involved in 'Black Propaganda' Chinese Whispers on the Patriotic Grapevine. Promise you, you will all be named in the last chapter of my book, that chapter to have the title 'Stryveland' and looks to be very cynical about these last '11th Hour' days of Welsh Nationalist Struggle disappearing into another false dawn of 'Devolution Dilettantism'.
