So what of the Statute of Rhuddlun and meaning of that Rhuddlun Plaque stating that these Statutes were favourable to the Welsh? Quite simply because other than the Priests of Bangor and other Traitors amongst the Gwynedd Nobility many minor chiefs were opposed to Llywelyn III. They had enough of him pressing them for money to pay for his title of Prince of Wales back in the day when he was on a rise but had to make terms with Edward in 1277 which were finnancially rewarding to Edward I. On top of this Llywelyn III had been pressing young lords 'Macywfiad' to fight for him before their time to take up armed active service. This was akin to the American Southern Confederacy and Hitler later falling back on young boys to fight a rear guard. Another reason, goes like this as far back as Owain Gwynedd attempts were made to 'modernise' Gwynedd as a Fuedal State as England. This meant very much 'Economic Modernisation' and Owain Gwynedd realised that much prevailing against such were the old Welsh Laws of 'Gavelkind':

This did not go down well with Welsh Chiefs of the lesser nobility and their sons, thus when offered to allow the Welsh 'Reactionary Class' to keep and restore this aspect of the old Welsh Laws. The short sighted lower nobility thought great but the English are no fools and this was to their benefit, how? Well in this way, in time Welsh Land outside the Edwardian Borough Towns would be parcelled up and out as per 'Gavelkind' untill so small an holding a  living could not be made and thus the land would be sold to the English Borough settlers who increased their landholdings and wealth. Get it? Of course other aspects of the Statute of Rhuddlun militated economically against the Welsh in many ways as for first time 'taxes', another example being of the Welsh allowed to grow wheat but not allowed to mill it or make it into bread, only the English were allowed to do that. This is why Glyndwr ordered destruction of Wind and Water Mills to deny the English an economic source only really beneficial to them, so there you go that's the Statute of Rhuddlun, lets hope that one day the present day Rhuddlun Plaque will be reworded another Cymric Consciousness Campaign.

Advocating a Welsh 'summer' Revolt in June 2012, no more talk time to walk up to the line and cross it and truelly set foot on Freedom Road towards Welsh Independance. Kind of where Owain Glyndwr left off, but before he nearly came near victory Welsh Patriots need to look back to previous revolts of the 14th century that set the scene for the 1400 - 16 - 21 War of National Liberation. These early revolts were in part consequence of the Statute of Rhuddlun and also of course of centuries of wars of Conquest and Colonisation by the Anglo - Normans. One thing that the Statute of Rhuddlun did of possible use, with hind sight beneficial in creating a self liberated peasantry out of a 'Bond/Tennant Population' and down wardly mobile lower Welsh Nobility who had become 'Land less', many joining the 'Gwenoliaid Cymreig' Mercenaries or becoming 'Adar y Greim' outlaws of the woodlands. 

A tradition which survived into the Tudor period:

This Cymric Colonised growing 'Welsh Underclass' following 1400 were with 'liberated' Tenants and Serfs to become the 'Barefoot Welsh Doggis', a substantial Peasant Army fighting for their Freedom as much as that of Cymru in the Glyndwr War of National Liberation. The war's end 1421, many fled with their families to the highlands and deep into forests. Roots of popular revolt and the foundations of Popular Protest as Tithe Wars 1888 and Workers Strikes as in 1900 - 02, 1910, 1911 and 1935 to our present times as may occur again in the Welsh 'summer' Revolt of June 2012.     This meeting may be in the Scots Pine Pub or 'Open Air' (in style of the medieval secret rebel meetings and a tradition  followed by Rebecca with huge Mountain Assemblies) at the Viewing Station on Mynydd y Betws to discuss setting up of an Anti - Colonial National United Front Campaigning Movement or Platform from which to launch any number of Campaigns.     As for extending the 
     first Week of June 'March Into The Mountain Initiative' as a Revolt against the Renewables Robber Barons. This Revolt may become a general 'Welsh Rebellion' by Radical Patriots and Partisans extending protest campaigns across the land on issues of
     importance to they or their community. Such may take aboard Social, Economic and Cultural Issues but let the action and activity be full on. Be mindful of American Civil Rights Campaigns and on the whole make it a great promotional advance of our Freedom Struggle much as Ghandi's Salt March:
