Now if a Wales/Welsh Anti - Jubilee Campaign is only going to be another 'Great Escape' to 'Camp Cosy Corris', then I offer two other suggestions, the first is one I an sure Balchder Cymru and Cambria Band will love to organise and go on. Given it as a Watcyn Wynn connection who of course is associated with Denbighshire and Wrecsam in particular. He also partnered up with the Beaufort Family through a daughters marraige who was given the Foelas Estate. Wynn also bought up much of the Monastic Lands in Mynyddoedd Pumlumon post reformation, then only being sold to tennants of the Wynn Estate in 1911. It is a sad fact of Welsh History that Watcyn Wynn was the last in line to a claim to being a native Prince of Wales, an even sadder fact is that Wynn and his Dragoons did a lot of evil stuff in Ireland on behalf of the English.

Whatever, great they got the boot big time at the Battle of Ballyellis 30 June 1798, this I consider a great event for Welsh Republicans to celebrate in Ireland, as perhaps an alternative to commemorating Glyndwr 1404 in Machynlleth annually on or about 21 June. That might sound as heresy coming from me but on a recent visit to Kentchurch, being shown around one became aware of the Portraits on the wall were of an Aristocratic Gentry right up to recent times.

I got to wondering that if Owain Glyndwr had established an Independent Wales, it is quite possible that with a century or two via intermarraige it would have become linked anyway to the English throne. As well growing economic and social ties would have drawn the two countries closer and possibly there would have been a 'Union of the Two Crowns' as happened between Scotland and England. Very possible that any Welsh Royal Family and the Aristocratic Gentry that would have moved in Anglo - Welsh Royal Circles would have been more or less as Watcyn Wynn and that long line of Scudamores whose portraits were on the walls at Kentchurch. Yes, depessing but more than lilkly a definate might have been, so we as Welsh Nationalists do cling on to faded dreams as still the dream of Independence. I note Elin Jones makes call for Welsh Independence as part of her Plaid Leadership ticket, nice lady but can we really believe that she is really up for Welsh Independence?
