Before I move away from July, I must comment on the present 'Afghan War'. It was my intention to write a post for my Welsh Patriot blog on subject of 'Welsh Mercenaries' and 'Soldiers for Britain' from AZINCOURT TO AFGHANISTAN. I am now however, in this post dealing with what really should have been a conclusion to the proposed post. Whatever, more relevent I do the conclusion now, so I can make comment on circumstances now in Afghanistan. I will be critcal about much throughout but, and not typically following the 'traditional' 'Welsh Pacifist Cultural and Radical/Extreme Nationalist' path of being 'Anti - Militarist' fo the sake of it! Welsh Pacifism is ever all too keen and 'selective' as who to blame and who to support as being opposed to the likes of 'Franco's Fascism', same in Chile under Army Rule. However, supporting Argentina's Military Right Wing Regime in the 'Falklands/Malvinas Islands' War. Then as far as Afghanistan is concerned getting all 'Hot & Bothered' about Western ''Crusader'' attrocities but not so much about 'Taliban Terrorist' Attrocities, why's that?
- Regards 'War Against Islamic Fascism' again there are 'Double Standards' . I had supported the 'Brits' re the war against the Argentinian Fascist Dictatorship regards their occupation of the Falklands/Malvinas Islands. My reasoning being that anything that would bring them down all the better for the radicals and Workers of Argentina. I was also mindful of the'Argentinian Army' forcing their rule and ways on the Welsh - 'Patagonian Colony' and wondering what an Independent Wales then might have done about it?..Same but for other reasons, I was going to support the 'Brits' in Afghanistan, the reasoning being some what silmilar as to why 'The Left' in the 'Thirties' called upon European Nations to send in troops to defend Spanish Democracy against 'Franco's Fascist Terrorism' upon the Spanish People,not least on Catalonia and Basque Country.Further, I reasoned that if the 'Taliban' won there, they would attempt, to take over the failing state of Pakistan. At the same time move in to help the 'Muslim Rebels' in Kashmir. See links below, giving both sides of the arguements that prevail and have prevailed for some years...

Such is a nightmare 'Scenario' that does not bode well for the future, what to do? Worse of all I doubt if much will be resolved, then even worse the sacrifice of all the young 'British & Welsh Soldiers', not least American Service Men and Women who are taking much bigger casualties. .I have great empathy for the 'innocents' who are killed and their families no matter which side they are on, inc young possibly brain washed 'orphans' who are used to carry out 'Suicide Missions' and as a parent, I can feel for all the 'Dads & Mams' who are witnessing this awful 'Motorcade of Death' thru Wooton Basset almost daily . Thus, I am fast of oppinion that the West must get out and let the Afghan people sort out their own destiny, no doubt that in short term the 'Taliban' might win but in time I am sure that again the Afghan people will rise up against them. The alternative then, defend the borders of the 'British Isles' and see to it that 'Moderate Muslims' squash any 'Muslim Extremism' over here. Anyway, I am of the opponion that the 'British Secret Service' is well on top of things, thus no more 'Home Grown' Muslim Terrorism, no doubt the 'British Isles' has become an 'Hard Target' whilst in East Africa they have plenty of 'Soft Targets' to attack from bases in Somalia and else where..All very grim. not least for th Women of Afghanistan, see link below:.some of the restrictions imposed by Taliban in Afghanistan
