GEORGIA ON MY MIND and South Ossetia! What another petition?

The Kossovo situation was an easy one, I just thought Serbia was wronged and I came to this opinion from having done quite a lot of reading about the Austrian - Hungarian Empire, Pan Slavism and Yugoslavia. I know very little about Georgia, or of the Ossetians, a quick suss on the web and I find that the Ossetians are descendants of the Alans. My knowledge of the Alans is also meager, I first came across they in a book called the CATALAN VENGENCE, by the way an excellent read. The Alans, or rather their remnants were raiding into Greece in the 13th Century following on collapse of Byzantium, they were one of the northern tribes giving the Greco - Normans trouble and whom the Catalan mercenaries were to come up against. That's more or less, is the sum total of my knowledge in this area apart from knowing that Stalin was a Georgian. So, on this Georgian/Ossetian Issue I will leave others to discuss and debate and choose sides as Dr John Davies does and makes known in his letter to the Western Mail recently. I know many Welsh Cultural Nationalists, as Robert Hinton supported Kossovans because the Serbs were suppressing their language, maybe Cultural Nationalists will be supporting the Ossetians for similar reasons, linguistic ones?

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME - IT's STILL CULTURAL IMPERIALISM. Getting Shafted By Shakespeare!

OH NO! PLEASE GOD SPARE US, NOT MORE SHAKESPEARE? as if we do not have enough of this English Bard, creative promoter of English Nationalism and Taffy Tom Foolery or worse Glyndwr as the ''Noble Savage'', proud but a ''Papist Prince'' unwelcome in the Tudor Protestant view of Welsh History, that must fit the English World View of advancing English Imperialism in it's attempt to dominate the world, colonise numerous countries and enslave numerous peoples, just has they had done in Cymru. To the fore in all this was the use of Shakespeare, I have done a number of articles on this but before I publish, I suggest you otherwise check out on the web for 'SHAKESPEARE AND CULTURAL IMPERIALISM'. Maybe you will come to the same opinion as I? but maybe not but at lease search and suss it out for yourselves before I get to reworking my ire on ''The Bard''. In the mean time I draw your attention to another bloody piece of Shakespeare Opportunist Adventurism in Wales. Would you believe it? attempting to establish a ''Mid Wales Shakespeare Centre''. You like me, might ask what for? when there exists such centres at the Globe in Southwark, London and of course at the epi - centre of the World Wide Shakespeare Industry in Stratford Upon Avon. Now if you, dear patriot you cannot see what is wrong with this, then you must have a hole in your head through which the English Crown's State Carraige can drive through. More important is what are we going to do about giving Shakespeare a Shunt out of Wales? Not completly, I am not a total Philistine but can we please in Cymru have some Cymric Culture and Literature in the Welsh Arts and Theatre World, not least in ''Open Theatre'' at Cadw Castles in particular.

The matter I seriously put forward, is does not Cymru not have a serious over load of that English Bard and all his many works. Just check out all the Cadw and Local Authority Tourism and local Liesiure Summer Events, and seek to spot anything of Welsh Theme, Subject and Content amidst all the Shakespeare Shafting going on. We are Culturally drowning in English Cultural Colonialism, what we need is a Cymric Cultural Revolution and I mean one that is in both English and Cymreig, particularly in English, do I have to explain why?

Just give me a month and I will have much, much, much more to say on this subject regards STICKING IT TO SHAKESPEARE! As an afterthought it occurs to me, that whilst a lot of Shakespeare is off loaded into Wales by English based Theatre Companies, a great ammount of it is ''Home Produced''. However, is this ''Home Based'' Shakespeare stuff the product of ''White Settlers'' or our own ''Anglos'', that are so anglicised they have no real knowledge of Welsh Mythology and History, Culture and Literature? If such is the case then how could they possibly be creative with an indigenous Cymric Cultural Endeavour. The question thus begging to be asked is, are they 'BRIT BARD BRAIN WASHED', if so then that Cymric Cultural Revolution is long overdue. I did not get to top of Eryri, nor even make it to the lower slopes due to inconsistant weather and arriving late in day after some other patriotic activity elsewhere. However, at least on 08 - 08 - 08 got symbolically close, if you can do better then please do. The Olympic games continue to run in China until 24th August, so pick a good sunny day and put on your walking shoes and maybe we will see a Tibetan flag or two or more atop Eryri yet? Also maybe make some more organised Free Tibet protest walk up Eryri, perhaps could actually be made on the 24th August, be somewhat more impressive than our lone attempt, if a larger group made effort to show some Free Tibet - Cymru Solidarity. Note, that rumours are rife that Carlo the English Pretender Prince of Wales will be around about Gwynedd in July 2009 to visit Caernarfon Castle on 1 July 2009, anniversary of the 1969 Investiture. It is quite possible that about this time he may be invited to open Hafod Eryri atop the Mountain, seeing has he campaigned for removal of the ''Highest Slum in Britain'', so a new centre could be built there. If this should occur, I suggest patriots be prepared to mount protests on Eryri by making sure as many Patriots as possible are all over the slopes rising up Baneri Llywelyn and Glyndwr plus Welsh Republican flags Baneri Eryri Wen would also be suitable. Thus stay alert, listen out for news on this and be ready to go into protest mode with a colourful flag protest action, as well make large Banners declaring NO TO ENGLISH PRINCES OF WALES - NO MORE INVESTITURES OK! Any one up for that? NB: If authorities stop such Patriotic Protest Action, maybe something could be done over on Carnedd Llywelyn not too far away, think it over?
